Brothers, Three

As the father of three boys, I have a special place in my heart for the three boy families. There’s something about getting several boys together in a small space that is conducive to general chaos and hilarity, which is great for the spirit. It can get wild, annoying, and out of control but it’s also a great reminder that not everything should be or can be predictable; you need a certain amount of uncertainty to keep you grounded in the world.

I’ve been photographing this family for almost five years now, seeing them as they’ve grown and changed. For some reason, they always seem to bring out the best in me, which is where I want to be.
