Poetic Spam
If you have a blog (and, if not, you might be the last person alive who doesn’t) one of the main problems is comment SPAM. Spammers are paid to sit in internet cafes and generate pseudo-comments on blog posts in an attempt to create SEO-boosting links to websites selling everything from travel, sporting goods, sunglasses, and psychotropics, to, uh, male enhancement.
Most of the time, they say something on the order of “Wow! I really love your blog. It is so well written!”, operating on the universal knowledge that flattery will get you something for nothing. Sometimes, however, you receive spam that has a strangely poetic quality, as if it were randomly generated by a robot:
In case you are alone, I’m going to be your shadow. If you wish to be sad, We will be your own make. Should you prefer a hug, I shall be your own pillow. If you need to be at liberty, I’m going to be your current look. If you want income, wait for the salary.
